WHERE'S THE TANNER NEWS?

Yes, we do have a third child at the Wilkes house!  Tanner has been taking driving lessons and is practicing his driving skills so he can hopefully take his road test the end of August or beginning of September.  He has been taking lessons at a rehabilitation hospital in Grand Rapids, where he also was evaluated to make sure he is a good driving candidate. So far, so good (that's a big knock on wood)! He has logged 20 hours in lessons and about 8 more hours with his mom and we are still in one piece (physically, can't vouch for mentally)!

Tanner was asked to be an Assistant Scoutmaster and last weekend he helped with a merit badge camp.  This is a good volunteer opportunity for him and a great way to get him out of the house and around someone other than his family.  He enjoyed himself last weekend and our Scoutmaster says he was a big help.

He is planning to attend Grand Rapids Community College this fall on a part time basis.
